About SiniSaja
Why this exists
Ask around and people often say there's not much happening in Brunei — but that's not really true. There's actually plenty going on: workshops, meetups, festivals, conventions. The real problem is discoverability. Events live scattered across dozens of individual Instagram pages nobody thinks to follow, rarely get posted anywhere central, and mostly spread by word of mouth if you happen to know the right people. That's something I've personally run into more times than I'd like — missing out on something I would have loved to attend, simply because I didn't follow the right page or hear about it in time.
What this is
SiniSaja is a hobby project — something I wanted to build and try, on the chance it'd turn out genuinely useful for the community here. It's by the community, for the community: an unofficial, grassroots way to see what's actually happening around Brunei, all in one place.
How it works
This is an automated, unsupervised website and Instagram account. It watches a list of event organisers and automatically reposts and reshares whatever upcoming events they post — no one is manually reviewing or curating each post. The only manual step is adding or removing an organiser from the watch list; detecting events, publishing them, and taking them down once they've passed all happens on its own.
What this isn't
SiniSaja exists purely to share events happening in Brunei — nothing more. It is not a platform for promotional content like products or services, and it intentionally stays away from that. See our disclaimer for more, or reach out through our contact form if something we've shared doesn't fit that.
